Headteacher’s Welcome

“In everything, treat others the same way you want them to treat you” – Matthew 7-12

Welcome to St Peter’s Church of England Primary School.

It is a privilege to serve as Headteacher of such a caring, ambitious and vibrant school community. Since joining St Peter’s in 2018, I have been incredibly proud of all that we have achieved together. Our school continues to go from strength to strength, driven by our commitment to providing the very best educational experiences for every child.

The 2026-2027 academic year marks an exciting new chapter for St Peter’s as we continue to benefit from significant investment in our school environment. Our extensive renovation programme is transforming our facilities, creating inspiring spaces that support learning, nurture wellbeing and provide opportunities for children to thrive. Whilst our buildings are changing, our vision remains the same: to ensure that every child receives an excellent education in a school where they feel valued, supported and encouraged to achieve their full potential.

At St Peter’s, we have high expectations for all children and are proud to be a truly inclusive school. We celebrate the uniqueness of every child and recognise that children learn, grow and succeed in different ways. Our commitment is to ensure that all pupils, regardless of their starting point, background or individual needs, feel that they belong, are welcomed and can flourish within our school community. Inclusion is not simply something we do; it is at the heart of who we are.

We believe that every child can succeed, and we work hard to create a culture where academic achievement, personal development and character education go hand in hand. Through a rich and engaging curriculum, we aim to inspire curiosity, develop resilience and equip our pupils with the knowledge, skills and confidence they need for the future. We want every child to leave St Peter’s with wonderful memories, a love of learning and the belief that they can make a positive difference in the world.

As a Church of England school, our Christian vision and values are at the heart of everything we do. Guided by the words of Matthew 7:12, we encourage our children to show kindness, respect and compassion in their daily lives. Our values are woven throughout school life and underpin our belief that everyone is welcome, everyone belongs and everyone has a part to play within our community. They help to shape not only successful learners, but also thoughtful citizens who make a positive contribution to society.

St Peter’s is a school where relationships matter. We are proud of the strong partnerships we build with families, our church and the wider community. Together, we create a supportive environment where children feel safe, happy and ready to learn.

I hope our website gives you a glimpse of what makes St Peter’s such a special place. However, nothing compares to seeing our school in action. I warmly encourage you to get in touch and arrange a visit so that you can experience our wonderful school community for yourself.

We look forward to welcoming you.
