Welcome

Welcome to St Peter’s Church of England Primary School!

I am incredibly proud to be headteacher of St Peter’s and to have been part of the journey we have been on since I started in 2018. At St Peter’s, we strive to create an environment where academic achievement and purposeful learning for ALL children is at the forefront.

Our intention is to inspire all our children throughout their time with us, enrich their life experiences and ultimately give them all the tools to achieve both at St Peter’s and when they continue their journey after they leave us.

Earlier this week, Mr B and Mrs Cook had the pleasure of attending the Young Enterprise Annual Conference in London, where they proudly collected our second re-accreditation award as a Centre of Excellence in Financial Education 🎉👏

St Peter’s is one of only a handful of schools in the country to receive this incredible award - a true reflection of our dedication to giving pupils strong foundations in knowledge, skills and attitudes for their financial futures 🏆💰📚

In the recent Curriculum Review, the Government announced plans to make Financial Education statutory for all primary schools and strengthen it in secondary schools. After all the amazing work we have done, and the impact it’s had on our children, this is fantastic news (and means we’ll be ahead of the game! 🚀)

Well done Team St Peter's! 👏

A huge thank you to all of the children who flexed their creative character muscles to enter our Forest School competition and to the grown-ups who supported their brilliant designs! 🌳👏

It was incredibly hard to choose a winner so in the end, Mrs Foxon and Mrs Howard decided to create a final design that combined standout elements from several entries:

🏆 Clara, Year 5, and Connor, Year 4 - clever 3D tree designs featuring the school keys
🏆 Esme, Year 5 - imaginative woodland scene filled with animals
🏆 Jaxson, Year 2 - fantastic squirrel collage
🏆 Marlee, Year 6 - catchy, alliterative name

Thanks to Skye, Embrace Marketing & Executive Assistant, who brought these ideas together into a striking final design, with a second version for our Forest School Nurture group 🙌

Look out for the winning designs on future Forest School correspondence! 👏🌳⭐️
