Vision, Aims and Values

“In everything, treat others the same way you want them to treat you” Matthew 7-12

At St Peter’s, our Church of England status forms the basis of our school ethos and vision and, as such, we have a clear set of values, which we believe help to develop rounded children, who leave us at the end of Year 6 ready for the next stage in their academic journey.

Our aim is to inspire each child through our engaging curriculum, enrich them through memorable opportunities throughout their time at St Peter’s, and, ultimately, achieve academically, socially and as an individual over their time with us.

Our school ethos is to promote an inclusive environment that places importance on academic success, as well as physical development, well-being and mental wellbeing are key elements that support the development of the whole child and promote a positive attitude to learning.

It provides meaningful opportunities to promote children’s spiritual, moral, social and cultural development and prepare children for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of later life through raising aspirations and teaching real-world skills.

We recognise the importance of partnership and collaboration and enjoy an incredibly positive relationship with our parents, local community and the various churches within Whetstone. Alongside that, we can offer a supportive and caring staff culture that is underpinned by kindness and understanding.
